Abigail
Bilingual Community Navigator
I was Born in the Dominican Republic. While growing up, my family moved to different countries, so I grew up learning about different cultures and immersing myself in all of them. In 2004, Indiana became my permanent home and I love it! In 2023, I completed my bachelor’s in psychology with minors in neuroscience and communications from Indiana University East. Currently, I am working on my master’s in clinical mental health counseling.
I have always wanted my work to be related to helping others, and having the opportunity of working at the Elkhart Family Resource Center through the Iris Family Support Center as a Community Navigator is truly a dream come true! Being able to serve my community and building new lasting relationships is a privilege, and I look forward to continuing this impactful work! On my spare time, I like to cuddle and play with our two kitties, spend time outdoors with my husband when the weather permits, hiking, biking, and working on our garden projects.
