Different Kids, Different Learning
Every family deserves support, connection, and hope. Strengthening Indiana Families is a network of Family Resource Centers across nine Indiana counties, designed to meet families where they are and walk alongside them as they grow stronger.
Five Core Components That Help Families Thrive
Across every Family Resource Center, five core components provide families with practical help, connection, and hope, creating a consistent foundation of support in every community.
Community Navigators
Trained local guides who connect families to resources, benefits, appointments, and follow-up, reducing barriers and confusion.
Concrete Supports
Immediate basic-needs
help—food, diapers, hygiene, formula, utility or rent aid, transportation, and referrals—to stabilize families during stress.
Family Fun Events
Free, welcoming activities that strengthen parent-child bonding, connect neighbors, and introduce families to local supports and services.
Parent
Cafes
Facilitated small-group conversations using protective factors so caregivers share experiences, build resilience, and grow practical parenting skills.
Co-Located Services
Multiple partners provide coordinated help in one location—case management, healthcare, behavioral health, legal, and workforce—streamlining access.
Helping Families Find Support, Connection, and Hope
Each Family Resource Center also offers unique programs that reflect local needs, such as recovery support, creative learning activities, or neighborhood events, ensuring every family can find the right kind of help close to home.
