Wayne County Bilingual Community Navigator
Pamela Zelaya is our Bilingual Community Navigator at the Wayne County FRC. She’s been working with the Richmond Latino Community throughout different agencies and nonprofit organizations like Amigos Latino Center, CAECI and Birth to Five from 2009 to 2012 as a liaison, Bilingual Coordinator and interpreter. Also, she’s a certified Medical Interpreter since 2013 and worked for the Wayne County Health Clinic and Neighborhood Health Center for several years
Currently, she works full time for Richmond Community Schools as an Instructional Interpreter at Starr Elementary and part-time at our FRC where she dedicates her time to help our clients with government applications, community resources and events.
Pamela has lived in Richmond for the past 17 years. She’s very proud of her son Connor who is a college student at IU Bloomington in the Pre-Med faculty. She loves her rescued pets as well as traveling, biking, Latin dancing, gourmet food and cultural events.
