La Porte County - Vice President Community Services
Nicholas Neal is vice president of community services at Geminus Corporation, a member of Regional Care Group. Neal presides over Community Partners for Child Safety along with programs such as the Real Fathers Initiative, Abuse Intervention Management, Circle Around Families, Family Preservation Services and the Truancy Prevention program. He also directs community outreach programming for Regional Care Group.
In partnership with Indiana Department of Child Services, Neal has expanded services through Community Partners for Child Safety, Regions 1 and 2—covering Lake, Porter, La Porte, Benton, Jasper, Newton, Pulaski and Starke Counties. The Real Fathers Initiative, successfully established by Neal, has served over 2,000 fathers since its inception in 2009. With Neal’s perseverance, the Abuse Intervention Management program in Lake County became the first state-certified batterer’s program in Indiana.
Before joining Geminus in 2009, Nicholas Neal served as a police officer and supervisor for a therapeutic foster care agency. Currently, he also serves as an adjunct professor in criminal justice. Neal received his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Indiana University in 2003 and his dual master’s degree in public and law enforcement administration from Calumet College at St. Joseph in 2005.
